Language that works without you having to hold it together.

Consistent language use across an organisation does not happen by goodwill alone. It happens when the right resources exist and anyone can access them. These services build the internal infrastructure that makes that possible.

DESIGNED FOR

Organisations ready to move from good intentions to consistent practice.

You have done some learning. You have some Māori in your communications. But it is held together by one person, answered ad hoc, or inconsistent across teams and channels. Every new staff member starts from scratch. Every new campaign involves the same questions. These services close that gap permanently.

THE OFFERINGS

A tailored 14 to 18 page guide that defines exactly how your organisation uses te reo Māori. Built from scratch around your specific context, your existing language, and your communication channels.

Māori Brand Language Guide

  • We cover your organisation’s voice and tone in te reo Māori, a defined glossary of key terms and their preferred forms, bilingual style guidance, macron policy, naming conventions, practical examples drawn from your actual content, and a reference section your team can use independently.

A single source of truth. One document that answers the question “how do we say this?” for any team member, in any channel, from the day it is delivered.

  • From $10,000 + GST.

Scoped at discovery. Timeline confirmed before engagement begins.

A bespoke resource set for organisations onboarding new staff into their Māori language expectations. Built to be picked up by your People team and used from day one, without needing specialist knowledge to deliver it.

Staff Onboarding Language Kit

  • This offering tends to include karakia for common workplace contexts, professional introductions and guidance, key place names relevant to your organisation and locations, internal terminology and preferred language, and pronunciation guides your new staff can use independently. Delivered as a polished digital resource in your brand. No assembly required.

  • From $2,500 + GST.

Scoped to your organisation’s context and immediate needs.

Scoped carefully. Delivered in full.

Both services begin with a discovery conversation where we ask about your organisation, your existing language use, your team, and what you need the resource to do. We then scope the work, confirm the timeline, and begin. You are not starting from a template. Every guide and kit is built for your organisation specifically, which is what makes it usable rather than aspirational.

One person leaving should not take the Māori language knowledge with them.

The most common situation we see: one staff member holds all the Māori language knowledge informally. Colleagues ask them. When they move on, the knowledge goes with them and the organisation starts again. These resources mean your language capability lives in the organisation, not in a person.

Practical details to help you move forward with confidence.

THE DETAILS

  • Typically, six to eight weeks from the discovery conversation to final delivery, depending on the scope and how quickly your team can provide the inputs we need. We confirm the timeline at discovery before anything is formalised.

  • No. We can work from scratch or build on what you already have. The discovery conversation helps us understand where you are starting from.

  • Yes. We can scope an update or extension at any point after delivery. Many clients return for additions when they open new locations, introduce new courses, or want to expand the resource.

  • The Brand Language Guide is a comprehensive style and reference document covering all external and internal language use across every channel. The Staff Onboarding Kit is a practical, people-facing resource designed specifically for new staff entering the organisation. Many clients commission both, with the Guide informing the Kit.
