  • Manawa Māori works best with organisations that come with genuine intent and a real desire to build something lasting. Our approach is always empowering and supportive, and we do our best work alongside people and organisations who meet us in that same spirit. If you’re looking for a tick-box solution, we’re likely not the right fit. If you want te reo Māori to become a natural, credible part of how your organisation communicates, we’d like to talk.

  • It depends on scope, but as a guide: Communication Reviews turn around in 3–5 working days. Translation projects are scoped at enquiry and typically delivered within 5–10 working days, depending on word count and complexity. Courses are scheduled by cohort. For larger projects like a Brand Language Guide or Staff Onboarding Kit, we confirm a timeline at discovery before anything is confirmed.

  • For translation and review work, a final or near-final version of your document and a word count are enough to get a quote. For coaching and advisory work, a brief description of your context and what you’re trying to achieve. For courses, your approximate team size and preferred timing. We keep the intake process straightforward, and no lengthy briefs are required before a first conversation.

  • Yes. We work regularly with government-adjacent agencies, health organisations, local councils, and publicly funded bodies. We understand procurement processes, can provide quotes in the format your organisation requires, and are experienced working within the timelines and approval structures common in the public sector.

  • Absolutely, and most organisations do. A Communication Review or Karakia and Introductions session is a natural first engagement. It gives your team direct experience of how we work before committing to a course or longer-term partnership.

  • We accommodate rush turnarounds where capacity allows. Rush rates apply for translation and review work requested outside standard timeframes. If something is time-critical, please mention it in your enquiry, and we'll confirm availability and timeline before you commit.

  • Most of our Service Suite is designed for organisational clients. However, the Karakia and Introductions session and the Pronunciation Audit for Leaders are both available to individuals booking independently, particularly useful for professionals who want personal coaching outside of a workplace course.
